1979. Four female workers have lunch break inside the ladies' room, at a metallurgical factory. Between laughs and scuffles, each one has a secret of their own.

Lucca, a young trans man from the outskirts of São Paulo, travels to Foz do Iguaçu — at the crossroads of Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina—in search of the father he never knew. There, he meets Diego, a Paraguayan who introduces him to the secrets of the borderland.

Fidel, the only gravedigger in a small Cuban village, has made the cemetery into his home. He, a simple mortal, has the mission of burying all the dead of his village.

Nadia is a Haitian biologist living in Cuba, researching local wildlife. Until she receives a visit from deep waters, and the Cuban forest begins to speak in other languages. On that day, Haiti never seemed so far from Nadia.

Father Julio Lancellotti tells the story of Marino, a transmasculine person who lived in the sixth century, in Lebanon, and who, after his death, was canonized as Santa Marina, considered, by progressive sectors of the Catholic church, the protector of gender identity. With scenes, reflections and interactions of a transmasculine group, the film promotes sensitive contemporary discussions about, for example, respect for the social name, resignifying Santa Marina into São Marino.
