Biography
Will Bowes is a Canadian Screen Award-winning director, actor, and singer/songwriter. He co-directed the series Hey Lady! with Sarah Polley and Adriana Maggs, which premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. He directed Netflix’s Christmas Casanova (2025) and is a two-time DGC Award nominee for various television projects, including Degrassi. His feature-length directorial debut, The Fallers, a dramatic thriller starring Georgina Campbell and Paul Gross, is due out in 2026. As an actor, he is best known for Netflix’s Alias Grace, Spinning Out, and Murdoch Mysteries, with film credits including Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Women Talking, and House at the End of the Street, opposite Jennifer Lawrence. As a singer/songwriter, Will is a two-time first-place winner in the International Songwriting Competition (2018–2019), and his music has been licensed in various films and television series. He has released four records, including EPs and full-length albums, both with the soul/R&B group Gold Complex and as a solo pop artist, amassing over 10 million streams globally.
