A woman carrying a hammer stumbles upon a mysterious door in the middle of nowhere. Now she must find a way to open it or live with the uncertainty of what might lie on the other side.
After her short relationship comes to an explosive end, VerĂłnica seeks to clear her mind by hopelessly lighting a stale cigarette she found in an old box. In the midst of this, she develops an outdoors conversation with her liberal lesbian neighbor who makes VerĂłnica confront her past through their rustic balconies.
During the course of a strange storm, Natalie must confront her worst nightmare, caused by the phenomenon itself.
