Das Kriminalmuseum was a German television series. It ran from 1963 to 1970 on ZDF and was one of its first programs. Each episode began with a tracking shot through an unspecified crime museum, stopping at one of the displays, whose story was then told. Each episode was between 60 and 75 minutes long and featured different actors as the criminal commissioner. The best known was Erik Ode, who in 1969 moved to Der Kommissar, appearing in 97 episodes. The theme music of the series was written by German composer Martin Böttcher, who also composed the complete scores for five episodes.

Detective Rolf Torring is tasked with finding out who stole a valuable ruby from a Bangkok museum. But as soon as he arrives, an attempt is made on his life. It seems that someone wants to prevent the case from being solved by any means necessary. Only Chitra, the museum director's assistant, supports Torring.

Two adventurers arrive in town and try to restore peace to it and its inhabitants.

Little Europe, a town in the American West, is chosen as the site for a European Music Festival to be internationally broadcast via television. The peace of the village is put in jeopardy when it comes to electing judges because the dormant antagonisms of the descendants of Italian, Spanish, French and Germans will be awakened, but the good sheriff easily resolves the dispute. Then the problem becomes more acute when the lawyer Betty, a comely young lady, who is late in coming to the event because she was seized by the henchmen of an industry bully who wants to influence the victory of one of his favorite songs.

Unfortunately, his telegram reaches her too late and a motley group of guests arrives. They promptly pitch tents in the garden of the half-finished building.
