Un jeune homme à lunettes portant un sabre de bois marqué « Lac Touya », réglant son compte à une bande de voyous, puis une jeune femme portant des habits chinois aux mêmes motifs que les siens, accompagnée d'un chien gigantesque : ce sont Shinpachi et Kagura devenus adultes. Il découvre alors petit à petit cet avenir radicalement différent ainsi que la choquante vérité.
