The Great American Road Trip in America
"A travel show parody and its own disastrous making-of documentary in one film."
Synopsis
A travel show parody and its own disastrous making-of documentary unfold together in one road trip comedy. As the crew attempts to film a television-style journey across America, the production behind the camera becomes just as chaotic as the show itself. The movie moves between the polished travel segments they are trying to create and the messy reality of actually making them. At the center is a clueless Swiss-Italian travel host whose confidence only makes every misunderstanding bigger. What begins as a simple travel program slowly turns into a comedy about the trip, the show, and the disaster of making both.
