
Synopsis
In this working-class neighborhood on the outskirts of Dakar, stands the proud house of Ndiouga Thiam, a renowned jeweler and family patriarch, who has realized his dream of bringing almost all his descendants together under one roof. Baabel thus unites four generations living in a single house. The challenges of coexistence don't prevent the residents from maintaining a certain equilibrium under the rule of the authoritarian Ndiouga. This equilibrium is disrupted when Khalil, Ndiouga's youngest son, returns from France with his brand-new wife, Fa Bintou. Nicknamed "the Parisian," and now the perfect daughter-in-law in Ndiouga's eyes, she disrupts lives and routines, thereby becoming the target of her sisters-in-law...
