Creatures known as Shokujinki have been secretly living alongside humans for hundreds of years. As emotions are strained and the secrets of both the past and present are revealed, who will live, and who will be eaten?

The story revolves around Duke Fleed who is a survivor of the Vega Star, raised by Dr. Umon as his adoptive son, and known as Daisuke Umon on Earth.
