Synopsis
Unemployed journalist Jimmy Olsson is going through a life crisis and turns to art, but discovers that all cultural institutions have closed down. When the TV news announces that the Ministry of Culture has become a subdivision of the Ministry of Finance, he realizes that something must be done. Accompanied by the artist Anna Odell, he gets the idea to create a documentary that not only depicts the dismantling of culture but also articulates the importance of art. Lena Endre, Olle Sarri, Magnus Krepper and Marie Göranzon are just some of the many well-known names that appear in this burningly current depiction of the future where the distance between art and politics is much shorter than an arm's length.
