Un travailleur, ayant un travail pénible, prend sous sa coupe le présentateur durant toute une journée normale de travail. Durant cette journée, ce dernier doit faire son possible pour effectuer correctement la tâche malgré les dangers, la pénibilité et les difficultés du travail. Le but n'est pas de se moquer des boulots qui sont mis en lumière mais de mettre en avant les travailleurs pour ce qu'ils peuvent réaliser tous les jours alors que peu de personnes pourraient le faire.

"A qui appartient-il?" (1998-2007, 2013-) est l'édition américaine de la série britannique du même nom. Il présente certaines des meilleures bandes dessinées d'improvisation du monde, notamment Wayne Brady, Colin Mochrie, Ryan Stiles et Drew Carey. Chaque semaine, les quatre bandes dessinées improvisées (et l'une d'entre elles) jouent spontanément des «sports théâtraux» avec des scènes folles, des bizarreries bizarres ou des chansons improvisées...

Animés par la comédienne Aisha Tyler, Ryan Stiles, Wayne Brady et Colin Mochrie, accompagnés d'un invité spécial à chaque épisode, doivent mettre leurs talents de comédien à l'épreuve à travers une série de jeux d'improvisation spontanés, motivés uniquement par des idées aléatoires fournies par le public du studio.

Bonne nouvelle : les très déjantées battles de « air song » ont désormais leur propre émission «LIP SYNC BATTLE»... et bien entendu, c’est sur MTV que ça se passe ! Le concept : chaque semaine, deux stars sont invitées sur le plateau de l’émission pour se clasher en bonne et due forme sur la chanson de leur choix. Les règles du jeu : se mettre dans la peau - et le costume - de l’artiste, jusqu’à imiter au mieux ses moindres mimiques de scène, le tout en playback ! « LIP SYNC BATTLE » c’est finalement du « air song », des chorégraphies endiablées, des déguisements et costumes des plus réfléchis... Mais c’est aussi l’occasion de découvrir la magnifique performance de Jimmy Fallon façon gospel de « Like a Prayer » de Madonna ou encore Anne Hathaway qui clashe Emily Blunt sur le dernier hit à la mode...
