Juan has become the laughingstock of the small fishing village, due to his wife being unfaithful and getting pregnant by another man. He has left fishing and now obsessively cares for an ostentatious mansion of a wealthy family from the capital. One day, the young son of the owner shows up at the house, without his father's permission and loaded with alcohol, with a foreign friend and a village girl they just met. During the course of the weekend, Juan will be forced to make decisions that will affect the rest of his life.

Cristiano Bruno is a young man that resides in one of the poorest slums in the highlands of Santo Domingo. He was raised by his mother, Maritza Bruno, after the incarceration of his father Marcos Ramirez for allegedly being involved in dirty business, and drug dealing years before Cristianos birth. Cristiano grew up surrounded by a difficult and precarious environment, leaning, like his father before him, towards the business of selling and trading narcotics. Cristiano falls into what seemed to be a lucrative business but gets betrayed and entangled in the maze of envy and deceit that leads to the tragical resolution of this story.
