Directed by Juan Ortega and set in 19th Century Victorian England, a struggling single woman of the noble class , named Juana Champion (played by actress Andrea Palma), has absolutely no marriage prospects. After finally resigning herself to becoming a Spinster or "Old Maid", she decides to go live with her very wealthy Aunt, none other than the Dutchess of Meldrum. Not long after her arrival, she quickly becomes infatuated with a charming, good-looking and talented painter named Garth, who works for her prim and proper Aunt. Although there is a mutual attraction between them from the start, Garth does not truly fall in love with Juana until he hears her sing a wonderful song called "The Rosary".
During the early XX Century, a lovely woman dancer has an amazing success in a place called "Cafe Concordia". She is courting by many men, buts he is in love with Ernesto, a young man whose parents are against their relationship. Ernesto invites Raquel to a party at his home but she is snubbed by his mother and offended by a slighted pretender. Ernesto faces this man in a duel in which he is about to be killed by his rival, but Raquel protects his body and receives the bullet. She dies in Ernesto's arms.

Martina, a sorrowful woman, is the sole inhabitant of an abandoned and eerie house, where a couple arrives on a stormy night seeking shelter. Martina tells them how what was once a happy hacienda turned into a hell filled with resentment when Doña Adelaida—the master’s second wife—and her son Hugo came to live there; the despotism and cruelty of both ultimately destroyed the entire family.
