Brash young Hollywood talent agent Josh Ross (David Moscow) is dispatched to Guatemala, where he's assigned to locate missing star Jack Palladin (Ben Gazzara), a man Josh has never met but can't stand due to Palladin's long-ago relationship with his late mother. Despite receiving no help from the amused locals, Josh eventually finds his target hiding out as a cook at a restaurant but discovers that persuading the reluctant actor to return to Hollywood will be an uphill climb. A story where suspense and comedy coexist with the purpose of rescuing the Guatemalan traditions. For this purpose, the characters of Moralejas (Draculillo, Draculon, Nito and Neto) together with a special cast embark on an adventure in which they live exciting and frightening moments in different locations, among which the general cemetery stands out. Characters from the Chapin folklore and tradition are incorporated to the plot, such as the sombreron, the llorona and the seguuanaba. In summary, this film is a suspense-comedy that should be presented every first of November.

An evangelical priest is forced to question the true reason why God has placed him on earth. With this in mind, the priest is invited to give a religious service in the state prison of Guatemala City, where he meets Beto, a young fisherman accused of killing a thirteen-year-old girl. The priest sees in Beto a chance to redeem himself and once Beto is released from prison, the priest decides to help him. The priest gives Beto job and shelter in the church, causing his family and congregation to turn against him. Convinced of Beto's innocence and affirmed only in his faith, the priest decides to help him at all costs. Until one day, an unexpected crime occurs in the surroundings of the church.

Gerardi is a Guatemalan film produced by the Human Rights Office of the Archbishopric of Guatemala and Moralejas films. It starred Jimmy Morales and depicts the most difficult moments of the Guatemalan civil war in the department of Quiché, when villages are being attacked and razed and the Catholic Church is being intimidated and forced to take sides. Monsignor Gerardi is bishop in that department, one of the departments of the Republic most affected by violence. His homilies then become public denunciations and he is forced to go into exile despite having the support of the Archbishop of Guatemala, Próspero Penados del Barrio.
