The Concert for New York City (2001) captures the star-studded benefit held at Madison Square Garden on October 20, 2001, honoring the city’s resilience and the heroism of first responders after 9/11. Attended by thousands of firefighters, police officers, and rescue workers, the concert features performances by Paul McCartney, The Who, Elton John, Billy Joel, and other music legends in a powerful tribute to unity, courage, and recovery.

Three close knit 12-year-olds - introverted Jacob, precocious Malee and vulnerable Leonard - start down the path of self-discovery and begin to distinguish their own voices from those of their parents.

In a series of three vignettes, three women in turn struggle to free themselves from the men who restrict their personal freedom.

Jack Slavin is an environmentalist with a heart condition who lives with his daughter, Rose, on an isolated island. While Jack fights against developers who wish to build in the area, he also craves more contact with other people. When he invites his girlfriend, Kathleen, and her sons, Rodney and Thaddius, to move in, Rose is upset. The complicated family dynamics makes things difficult for everyone in the house.

A schoolboy uses his cellphone camera to shoot intimate interviews with people working at a New York fashion house and secretly posts them on the internet. Result: a bitterly funny expose of an industry in crisis, during a week in which an accident on the runway becomes a murder investigation, and denial leads to devastation.

William Keane is barely able to cope. It has been six months since his six-year-old daughter was abducted from New York City’s Port Authority Bus Terminal while traveling with him. Repeatedly drawn to the site of the abduction, Keane wanders the bus station, compulsively replaying the events of that fateful day, as if hoping to change the outcome.

It is September 11, 2001, and a young man goes missing in New York. Because of his eastern name and his Islamic religion, he is suspected of being involved in the World Trade Center attack. The FBI inquire about him. The neighbors of his family show their disapproval. His family hold out hope that he will be found and exonerated. (Originally appeared as a segment of the omnibus film 11’09”01—September 11, but later presented as a separate short film.)

In this short film, produced as a tribute to New York City in the wake of 9/11, Kevin Smith polls New Yorkers on their attitudes towards his home state of New Jersey and finds them to be less-than-favorable... with one caveat.

After spending time in New York City, Billy Hayes returns to his Ireland hometown. He wants to get back together with his ex-girlfriend and take her to America in hopes of opening up a gas station. But everything isn't going Billy's way — the townspeople aren't happy to see him, and his ex-girlfriend is engaged and pregnant. Then, Billy runs into his old friends who are planning a scam.

One woman's passion for the musical saw. 'The old time tradition of learning to play the musical saw was that you see someone play it then you try to figure it out on your own. If you succeed, you're meant to be a saw player.' THE SAW LADY is part of RHYTHM IN MOTION, a twenty part series of 3-5 minute slice-of-life video vignettes centered around the extraordinary subway musicians of NYC.
