Created by Paulino Sabugal and adapted by Josefina Palos, the telenovela stars Ernesto Laguardia and Lola Merino. The story follows Celeste Ortiz, a kind and beautiful young woman who lives under the control of her ambitious stepmother Andrea and her stepsisters. The story is distinctive in that three artifacts are practically characters in their own right and have their own stories: 1 a piece of paper with writing on it, 2 diamonds, and 3 a pair of cuff links.
