On October 13, 1972, Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571, chartered to take a rugby team to Chile, crashes into a glacier in the heart of the Andes.

Though no one can see him, Hollow Face lurks in the corners, desperately desiring love but only knowing how to spread fear and hate. He creeps into the life of John Farrow after Farrow’s beloved 12-year-old daughter Mia is assaulted in their home. The line between the real and the imaginary blurs as fissures start to open within the family unit. It seems that no security measure can keep Hollow Face out.

The main character is a nameless boy (Juan Jose Ballesta) who was taught to steal wallets by his absent mother. He is able to do the trick effortlessly, using his "earnings" to survive while he looks for his mom. As he runs into an antique store owner, he might have found a trace that will lead to her. First, however, he will have to pull off a few "jobs" for the store owner, and he can't do it alone: enter a nameless girl (Maria Valverde) who gets to learn all the secret techniques the young boy has been using all his life.

Miguel Bardem's Christmas comedy Noche de Reyes (Twelfth Night) intercuts a variety of story lines. Ernesto Cuspineda (Joaquin Climent) is a businessman whose life comes unglued during a party. His wife learns of his affair, and his daughter is expecting a baby. There are wise men who have nefarious motives, and scam artist Santa Clauses.

A picnic by the river. Pablo is in love with his pretty older cousin, but she would rather be alone with her lover, so she gets rid of the boy by sending him off in search of a gift. Something strange happens to Pablo during his trip. Upon his return, he is not the only one whose innocence is at stake.
