La que se avecina is a Spanish television comedy created by Alberto Caballero, Laura Caballero and Daniel Deorador. The TV-series focusing around the inhabitants of Mirador de Montepinar, a fictional building located on the outskirts of a big city. Both its storylines and cast are heavily based on AquĂ no hay quien viva, which ended when Telecinco bought MiramĂłn Mendi, the series production company. The episodes debuted on the Telecinco network, and were later rerun by the same network as well as cable/satellite channels FactorĂaDeFicciĂłn and Paramount Comedy. The series debuted in 22 April 2007 and became popular thanks to its funny characters, witty script, use of catchphrases and capacity to integrate and poke fun at contemporary issues; the program presents a caustic satire of many of the 'types' found in Spanish society. The name of the show involves wordplay, as "vecina" is the Spanish word for neighbour.

In 1945, beneath the oppressive shadow of the Francoist dictatorship, Juan, a university teacher assistant, meets Manuel during a chance encounter at night in a park. The main character is a nameless boy (Juan Jose Ballesta) who was taught to steal wallets by his absent mother. He is able to do the trick effortlessly, using his "earnings" to survive while he looks for his mom. As he runs into an antique store owner, he might have found a trace that will lead to her. First, however, he will have to pull off a few "jobs" for the store owner, and he can't do it alone: enter a nameless girl (Maria Valverde) who gets to learn all the secret techniques the young boy has been using all his life.
In the construction of a building, the bunker where Adolf Hitler committed suicide was discovered by chance. Inside, along with the skeleton of his companion, was his virile member in a jar of formaldehyde. This peculiar find led to a group of Spanish neo-Nazis being recruited by a mad scientist to steal the preserved penis so that the FĂĽhrer's clone could be reconstructed.
Juanjo (Antonio Pagudo) is a forty-year-old man who, despite not having low self-esteem due to his baldness, his wife, Inma (Eva Ugarte), obsessed with image and aesthetics, is in charge of making him complex about it. On the other hand, his friend Sebas (Carlos Librado "Nene") is affected by his lack of hair and is willing to do whatever it takes to regain his younger version, something that affects his ex-wife, SofĂa (Amaia Salamanca) , and their daughters. Ready for anything, both get into a little trouble to get the money to allow them to travel to Turkey and have a hair transplant. In Istanbul they meet Rayco (Tomy Aguilera), a young reggaeton singer who is having great success, but after discovering his alopecia at a concert, he needs an urgent hair transplant. In this way, the three of them will try to seek happiness through aesthetics, but perhaps they will discover that there is something far beyond the physical.
