After his wife’s death, 80‑year‑old Vavřinec Novotný feels alone and estranged from his sprawling family. He sells the family estate (Slánská hora) and announces a wild contest: whichever of his children becomes a parent first will inherit one million euros. His children and grandchildren — including a debt‑ridden restaurateur/MMA hopeful, a career‑focused singer granddaughter, and a gay grandson who longs for a family — launch into a frantic, absurd competition full of secrets, desperation and ambition. As the race unfolds, long‑buried tensions are exposed and the family learns what really matters: money or love and connection.

However, Líba is not going to give up her celebration so easily. She decides to surprise Peter and move in with the whole family. An unexpected visit forces Peter to quickly improvise. In front of your family, turning your friend Karel into a colleague from work and his sister Veronika into your girlfriend is basically a piece of cake. But Petr doesn't know yet that this is just the beginning and today will be one big rollercoaster ride.
In a small kingdom where King William and Queen Olivia are perpetually away, corrupt councilors Ferenc and Lorenc exploit their power by piling on ever-higher taxes, only to have their unjust levies thwarted by the noble robber Karaba, who ambushes the tax collectors and returns the stolen money to the people. After the birth of his daughter Anička, Karaba retires his highwayman’s tools and resumes life as a humble potter, even as the royal couple welcomes a son, Jakub, and the ministers’ greed threatens to draw him back into defending the common folk.

However, nothing goes as expected: daughter-in-law Simona secretly chooses a different name, Arnošt gets involved in a "detective" search for lost keys and a supposed theft, while Karel and his friend Richard solve a misunderstanding in a jewelry store. The chaos is compounded by the confused saleswoman Vlastička, who has lost her memory. As the day of the christening approaches, secrets surface, identities become clear, and family relationships are put to the test.
