Klaus Scharling Nielsen

The story centers around the busybody housewives of a modern Danish working class neighborhood of the 1960's. A remake of the Norwegian comedy film from 1959.

Two brothers, Ras and Jan, have always been together during the long training to become jet pilots in the Danish Airforce. They both join squadron 793, where they will serve on active duty under the the young and very energetic squadron leader, Captain Tom Jessen.

Factory worker Otto Nielsen and his wife Helga live in a 2-room apartment in a sad Copenhagen suburbs district, where the S-trains still bumble by, but of course, such things can be used to. They have five children and it is often difficult to meet daily expenses. Nielsen has bought a building site outside the city, it is his dream to once again be able to exchange the narrow apartment with his own house.

At the Copenhagen Conservatory of Music, Mogens Birk passes his organ exam with distinction. Together with his brother Steen Birk, he has supported himself during his studies by playing in the city's small taverns. Editor Jepsen from Bollerupager attends the exam, with a view to hiring a new organist for the city. At the parish council meeting, Consul Møller's daughter Kirsten, who was educated in Paris, is nominated, but Jepsen has Mogens as his candidate for the position, and he gets the job.

Copenhagen in the 1890s. A pleasant city for those who experienced it at the time. This is the story of how Therese Schrøder came to live with Professor Jacobsen and became the children's nanny, which led to her meeting her sailor. This caused quite a stir in bourgeois circles at the time.

Egon, a young man from Jutland living with relatives in Copenhagen, meets sensible young girl Ruth and falls in love. But Egon is involved with a gang of criminals, and when they assault a man they meet in a bar they are caught by the police. Egon is sent to a juvenile home, but can he stay out of trouble?

The old comrades are called up for three weeks of autumn maneuvers. They are usually more interested in beer, girls, and cheerful music, but Sergeant Vældegaard is determined to scrape the civilian rust off the "boys." Their old friends from their days as recruits have remained in the system as platoon leaders and sergeants, respectively, but that does not dampen the fun. In the heat of battle, the schoolteacher finds time to flirt with his Lotte Corps colleague Birthe.

Two rival young men both desire the merchant's pretty daughter, a bad young man robs the merchant's safe and blames it on "mother-in-law's dream", a worldly-wise grandmother directs the battle of love from her living room, and a couple of silly railway workers spread song and joy.

Semi documentary on a famous cycle race in Copenhagen. The story is about the competition between the riders as well as about their private and marital struggles.

It is the war year of 1658, and the winter in February is so harsh that the belts are frozen. The Swedish King Charles X Gustav, who has arrived in Germany, is now staying in Jutland. He and his army can cross the straits and continue on toward Copenhagen. Svend Gønge is given a particularly difficult task by Frederick III: 50,000 rigsdaler belonging to the king must be brought from Vordingborg Church to Copenhagen.

Among the residents of the boarding house on Fredhvilevej are Børge Blom, a civil servant, the feisty Nelly Smith, and taxi driver Ib Nielsen. Because their house is to be demolished to make way for a parking lot, they are given 14 days' notice to vacate. Good advice is now hard to come by, and after a fruitless visit to the Ministry of Housing, they agree to resort to unconventional methods—they occupy Louisenborg Castle! Upon arriving at the castle with their belongings, confusion reigns supreme—there is moving chaos, a visit from an Arab prince, plenty of drinks, and love in the corners.

Olaf Ussing is the old chamberlain who lives in the castle with his three unmarried daughters – Malene Schwartz, Lone Hertz and Mimi Heinrich. On the neighbouring estate lives Poul Reichhardt, a wealthy bachelor with a butler – festively played by Ole Monty. A couple of dubious suitors for the lovely young ladies are Preben Neergaard and Preben Mahrt – and a former admirer is Henning Palner.
