German Kachin

Fitil is a popular Soviet/Russian television satirical/comedy short film series which ran for about 500 episodes. Some of the episodes were aimed at children, and were called Фитилёк, Fitilyok, Little Fuse. Each issue contained from the few short segments: documentary, fictional and animated ones. Directed by various artists, including Leonid Gaidai who presented his famous trio of Nikulin, Vitsin and Morgunov into the cast. It was called in USSR as "the anecdotes from the Soviet government".

The year is 1940 and Nazi Germany is at the height of its military prowess, having captured most of Europe and eyeing the Soviet Union to the East. The Russian military command suspects hostile intent from Germany and so arranges for its spies to infiltrate ranks of the German military and the SS. Alexander Belov is a Russian spy, who travels from Soviet-held Latvia to Nazi Germany under an alias of Johann Weiss. His mastery of the German language, steel nerves and an ability to manipulate others help him to use his connections in the SS to ascend the ladder of the German intelligence. He uses his position to identify sympathetic Germans, who help him to procure vital intelligence, and to help local resistance movements in their collective fight against Nazism.

A diamond smuggling operation goes wrong when an ordinary Soviet citizen becomes unwittingly involved, and the criminals are forced to court him to retrieve their diamonds.

1744. Russian Empire. Being childless, but at the same time wanting to finally consolidate on the Russian throne of his - "Peter's" line of the Romanov dynasty, Empress Elizabeth Petrovna decides to marry his nephew Karl Peter Ulrich, brought from Prussia, called in Russia "Peter Fyodorovich" to some noble, but preferably not very rich and not very willful European "princess". Elizabeth is intrigued by the brave young guardsman and his intercession for Yaguzhinskaya, and she gives Belov "an assignment of national importance" - to secretly bring his important guests to Russia from Prussia. The ubiquitous vice-chancellor Bestuzhev learns about it. He summons Alexei Korsak, Belov's friend who will keep Alexander company on his trip to Prussia, and instructs him to become a spy on Belov, threatening Korsak with "exile to the galleys" and "Siberia" for his wife and young son if he refuses.

The film comprises three cinematic novellas: (1) “And They Arrived at the Peasant’s Hut… or the Adventures of Writer Senya in Search of the Hidden Word,” in which writer Senya draws inspiration for his rural novels from his housekeeper Yermolayevna’s tales; (2) “The Song, or How the Great Louarsab Organized a Choir,” where a city visitor attempts to form a choir of centenarian elders in a Georgian mountain village; (3) “What Is Our Life?! or What Is Our Life?!”—during a musical reenactment of pre-Revolutionary France, a drunken actor’s tardiness forces King Louis XIV (also the theater committee chairman) and the cast to improvise the play’s ending.

A third movie about Fyodor and his friends from the Prostokvashino village and their adventures - this time during the winter.

The film is dedicated to the events of the Civil War, the offensive of Denikin and Kolchak's troops on Uralsk, and the defense of the city. Historical facts are presented in it on a significant scale, through the personalities and fates of many characters, with a wide introduction of mass and battle scenes.

Oreshnikov wants to receive the win himself, but his colleagues object to him, because the money that he spent on the bond were public, hence the win should be divided equally among all workers. It creates a controversial situation, which is successfully resolved on the very eve of the New Year, under the chiming clock...
