Georgia, 1864. The Tsarist regime is using Cossacks to forcibly resettle Muslim Georgians to Turkey in order to steal their land. Meanwhile a Muslim girl falls in love with a Christian from the next village.

In the distant mountains, in a Serbian village, the occupiers are robbing the population and shooting the rebels. The villagers flee into the forest and form a partisan detachment. The detachment mines the road so that the punitive detachment cannot reach the village. But the partisans do not have Bickford's belt. The bomber faces inevitable death. Young Marko undertakes this task.

Based on the autobiographical book "Ya -sam" (I-myself) by Vladimir Mayakovsky the leading Russian Futurist poet of the beginning of the 20th century. He was born in 1893, into a Russian Cossack family in the Transcaucasian kingdom of Georgia, then part of Russian Empire. There he spent his childhood and boyhood attending a grammar school in Kutaisi. Mayakovsky moved to Moscow at the age of 14, after his father's death. He became a poet, an artist, an actor, a writer/director and public speaker.

The two neighbors, Amiran (ამირანი) and Gramiton (გრამიტონი), are cantankerous individuals who argue about everything for no reason. Their constant bickering is very amusing to everyone in the village, as they compete to see who is better.

A Georgian warrior witnesses the heroic death of a local communist girl in the battle for one of the Russian villages. The wounded warrior returns to his native village, but thinking about the girl does not give him rest, and his photography becomes the cause of misunderstanding with his bride.

A group of students from Tbilisi is sent to practice with shepherds. Here, the goods are treated by old methods with the advice of doctors. Students begin to use new methods of treatment. They are fiercely opposed by the doctors. One of them also commits evil deeds: he calls a sheep suffering from anthrax in the kolmeurneo flock. The sheep dies. Practitioners are trying their best to save the flock of sheep. Vaccination will be carried out immediately. Timely measures will yield results

A lost Turkmen village in the hot sands of the Kara-Kum desert. The villagers, who toil on the parched land, are forced to go on a pilgrimage to Aman-Durdi-bai. But then four Komsomol interns arrive in the village—a Russian, a Ukrainian, a Jew, and a Georgian. The students from the hydro-technical university ask the Turkmen to organize an expedition to the Timur hills, which block access to water in the desert. One of the wealthy villagers, who has an interest in keeping the poor dependent on him for their water supply, opposes this idea.

Poor brothers, Ali and Hussain, support their family through the dangerous and hard work. Once, while being in the open sea, they were attacked by a shark. Instead of his older brother, who died in the fight with the shark, from now on the younger one has to carry the heavy burden of the family, but he believes that when he groes up, he will escape from the poverty.
