Lena Bergström works in an office and is unhappily in love with her boss, Johan Borg. She decides to quit. Borg's wife won't have any children, and when she becomes pregnant she has an illegal abortion. For some reason, Lena's father believes that it is Lena who has had an abortion.

Filip Palm works as a clerk. His hobby is creating inventions of different sorts. He has just received a big inheritance and has fallen in love with Gun Svärdsjö.

"How crazy!" A man and a woman watch episodes from Nils Poppe movies outside a cinema Maxim in Stockholm. Poppe represents, among other things, a poor composer who vainly tries to get a tune adopted by a publisher. The failure makes him depressed, but he is living it up by meeting a good friend Calle, who invites him home. Poppe stays for a few days as a male housewife. Calle has a music store and there the two friends can go crazy among all the instruments.

A travelling theater-company performs Offenbach's "The Beautiful Helene" when an officer in the audience notices the similarity in appearance between the leading actor Leonard Pettersson and the king Charles XV. With Pettersson dressed as the king and the other actors as the royal suite, they all go to Herrsunda castle where the officer is trying to make an impression on his fiance.

Architect Sture Ahrengren walks out of his job with an architecture firm with the support of his wife Kristina. He gets a position with an old friend, Balstar Ekberg, who has a big engineering job going. But Sture gets entangled in a romance with Ekberg's wife, Helena.

New explosives will be demonstrated for the military authorities, but some shady characters looking to steal it to sell it to a foreign power.

Funfair worker Valdemar is unknowingly the illegitimate son of a rich landowner, colonel Von Brede. The colonel knows and employs Valdemar as his stable master. The colonel has a young and beautiful ward, Eva, but will she and Valdemar fall in love with each other?

The successful writer Erich Eckberg lives with his wife Sigrid and their three children -- the twins, Knut and Michael and the daughter Gabriel -- on their estate "Sophienlund". On their sons' 21st birthday, Eckberg tells them the great family secret: Knut and Michael aren't his children (happy birthday, kids ... oh! and did I mention Santa Claus doesn't exist either?). But thankfully, the news gets better: their real mother died giving birth to them (guilt trip ... guilt trip!) and the Eckbergs decided to adopt the boys and bring them up in a proper family (no doubt so they could shatter their lives with this tale on their 21st birthday). But hey: it made everyone forget about the War going on outside the theatre, right?

Swedish comedy from 1940. Carnival director Knut Lindberg has ended up in the hands of the usurer Director Aronsson and his shady practices trying to take over Lindberg's funfair. But the two new colleagues, Kalle and Nisse, does everything to stop him.

A young worker has decided he must get to buy a lottery ticket with the number 33.333. He manage to get the ticket. This leads to a long series of complicated developments.

"His Majesty's Rival" - A young man, Lars Hjelm, returns home after being in Italy on a scholarship from the Swedish king, Gustaf III. On his way home he meets with opera singer Antoinette and fall in love with her. His fiancee Eva expects him home any day.

Director Björkman travels to Copenhagen with his daughter Astrid, who is together with a certain Count Erik Lejonsköld. They will take their father-in-law's car and go on a honeymoon to the Riviera. But "Count" gets a telegram from London calling him to a business meeting. Dad Björkman and the daughter decide to go to the Riviera while the suitor must come later. The real Count Erik Lejonsköld comes home to his office in Stockholm and is congratulated on the wedding by his staff. But he did not get married at all, it was a scammer instead of Henry. Erik searches the newspaper notice his wedding announced in Copenhagen and sees a chance to expose the imposter.

Two inventors, Ville and Rulle have developed a revolutionary new accordion; however, they have competition. Twelve-year-old Pelle Borell gets to show off the instrument in front of the Swedish accordion elite in Stockholm.

"A Prisoner Has Escaped" - Franz is imprisoned for blowing up a factory. He escapes in order to prove his innocence.

A gang of unemployed itinerant musicians play in the south of Stockholm. Then they get the chance to be an orchestra in a dance restaurant. It goes well until the female owner falls in love with one of them.

The widow Maja Brummell lives in Stockholm with her daughters Elsa, Brita, Ann-Marie, Svea and Ingrid. Mrs. Brummell has a lousy business sense.
