Red Iron Road is an animated horror anthology series, based on the works of famous European authors. Each of the episodes are between 10-20 minutes, produced with different creative partners in unique visual styles to suit each story.
Set during the opening days of World War II on the Eastern Front. Its main cast are a group of Soviet teenagers with extraordinary abilities; the teenagers have been drafted to form a special unit to fight the invading German army. They are opposed by a Schutzstaffel officer who is attempting to raise from the dead a supernatural army of crusaders from the 12th-century Order of the Sacred Cross.
March. A sudden temperature drop brings the so-called black blizzard to Norilsk – violent, bone-chilling winds that knock people off their feet. With the storm comes an unease that settles among the residents.
Citizens from a well-fed, fenced-off city can only venture beyond the “safety” wall on the government’s official train system. A team of investigative reporters set out to explore what’s beyond this region, but instead discover a horrifying secret no one thought possible.
