John Brinkley

Biography
Born in Hartford, Conn., John Brinkley spent two years in the Air Force, where he served in the far East. Returning to New York, the next few years were consumed with study at the Academy of Dramatic Arts and working professionally with the New York Shakespeare Guild and in various off-Broadway productions, including 'The Big Story.' After arriving in Los Angeles, Brinkley almost immediately received the starring part in the legitimate stage production of 'A View From The Bride' at the Players Ring. He next co-starred with Chico Marx in 'Fifth Season.' He appeared on television in such shows as 'Matinee Theatre,' and in the filmed series 'Annapolis,' 'The Silent Service' and 'Perry Mason.' Acclaimed as one of Hollywood's top teenage actors, Brinkley's versatility and talents provoked an audience reaction similar to that stimulated by the late James Dean, to whom he was often compared. On March 10, 1958 Brinkley married Maila Nurmi of 'Vampira' fame; the couple divorced only three years later. Brinkley died November 14, 2012.

Cooperating with the police in order to revenge his father's death, Frank joins a youth syndicate master-minded by the sadistic Alex. When members become suspicious, Frank must cooperate with the gang activities in order to prove his loyalty. Now personally involved and unable to contact the law or his girl friend, Frank's true identity is revealed to brutal leader whose anger he must now face. Meanwhile the selfish disloyalty of the boss is revealed and in bitter hatred the most trusting youth of the syndicate turns on the leader.

In this violent drama, a young juvenile delinquent gets into more trouble when he gets involved with a gang that steals auto parts and resells them on the black market to pay for their beer parties. It looks as if he might actually turn his life around after he meets a good-hearted woman, when he decides to run a final game of chicken against a juvenile delinquent girl who gets killed in the ensuing crash. The terrified boy then takes his girlfriend and splits. He is later shot-down by the police. Later the authorities learn that the boy was set upon his crooked path by policemen who beat him when he was younger.
