Wycliffe is a British television series, based on W. J. Burley's novels about Detective Superintendent Charles Wycliffe. It was produced by HTV and broadcast on the ITV Network, following a pilot episode on 7 August 1993, between 24 July 1994 and 5 July 1998. The series was filmed in Cornwall, with a production office in Truro. Music for the series was composed by Nigel Hess and was awarded the Royal Television Society award for the best television theme. Wycliffe is played by Jack Shepherd, assisted by DI Doug Kersey and DI Lucy Lane. Each episode deals with a murder investigation. In the early series, the stories are adapted from Burley's books and are in classic whodunit style, often with quirky characters and plot elements. In later seasons, the tone becomes more naturalistic and there is more emphasis on internal politics within the police.

Kingdom is a British television series created by Simon Wheeler and stars Stephen Fry as Peter Kingdom, a Norfolk solicitor who is coping with family, colleagues, and the strange locals who come to him for legal assistance.

Crooked House is a British supernatural drama miniseries broadcast on BBC Four from 22-24 December 2008. Created and written by Mark Gatiss, and produced by Tiger Aspect Productions, the serial stars Lee Ingleby and Gatiss. A ghost story about a cursed house. The cursed house — Geap Manor — weaves together three ghost stories set during Georgian times, the 1920s, and present day.

Bodily Harm is a two-part British miniseries written by Tony Grounds, and produced by Tiger Aspect Productions for Channel 4. Airing in June 2002, it stars Timothy Spall, Lesley Manville, Annette Crosbie, and George Cole. On the eve of his 44th birthday, mild-mannered suburban stockbroker Mitchel Greenfield spirals out of control after losing his job, finding his wife in flagrante with a sleazy neighbour, and discovering his father is dying of cancer.

Martin Clunes plays Edward, an English tutor at an Oxford language school. Seemingly charming and thoughtful, Edward is really a calculating liar and manipulator. A series of events triggered at a dinner party leads Edward down a very precarious and hilarious path.

National Theatre Live’s 2010 broadcast of Alan Bennett’s acclaimed play The Habit of Art, with Richard Griffiths, Alex Jennings, and Frances de la Tour, returns to cinemas as part of the National Theatre's 50th anniversary celebrations. Alan Bennett’s play is as much about the theatre as it is about poetry or music. It looks at the unsettling desires of two difficult men, and at the ethics of biography. It reflects on growing old, on creativity and inspiration, and on persisting when all passion’s spent: ultimately, on the habit of art. One of the first five episodes also released on terrestrial TV on a 2009 BBC TV series titled "National Theatre Live".
