John Carroll Dye was an American film and television actor and director best known for his role as Andrew, the Angel of Death, on the hit CBS spiritual drama series Touched by an Angel. He brought a gentle, compassionate presence to a character that resonated deeply with millions of viewers worldwide. Tragically, Dye passed away from heart failure at the age of 47.
