Biography
Fernanda Paes Leme (born June 4, 1983) is a Brazilian presenter and actress. In 1998, she debuted on the TV Globo series Sandy & Júnior, playing the spoiled and extravagant Patty, the comic antagonist of the story, who always failed her in funny ways. During this time she received proposals from Manoel Carlos to play the character Íris in Laços de Família and the protagonist of the miniseries Presença de Anita, but she was prevented by the series' management from leaving him and accepting the invitations. In 2003 she debuted her first soap opera, Agora É que São Elas as Karina, joining the third season of the children's series Sítio do Picapau Amarelo in the same year as the journalist Clarice. In 2004 she entered the second phase of the soap opera Da Cor do Pecado playing Nieta Bazarov, one of the three rival mat fighting sisters of the Sardinha family. But it was in 2005 that she gained prominence when she faced her first dramatic character, the illegal immigrant Rosário em América, who crossed the Texas desert in search of the American dream, taking her younger sister with her. In 2007 she played the flirtatious Teresinha in Desire Proibido, in addition to making her film debut in the films O Homem que Desafio o Diabo and Podecrer! . In 2009 she had the opportunity to mature on stage in the role of Maria Rosa in Paraíso, a girl who graduated from the big city and returned to Pantanal to help her family manage their farms and political life. In 2011 she returned to the nine o'clock soap operas as the provocative Irene Brandão, in Insensato Coração, who seduced the protagonist of the plot with her sensuality. In 2012 she played Márcia, a lieutenant in the Brazilian Army in Salve Jorge, which formed the plot's love triangle. She then signed a contract with Band to focus on her career as a presenter and present the Brazilian version of The X Factor. With the announcement that the second season of X Factor Brasil would not take place, Fernanda left the network on July 8, 2017.

Malhação is a Brazilian television series for the teenage audience. The soap started in 1995, and was set in a fictional Gym Club called Malhação on Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. Through the years the location varied slightly. Although the name of the soap remains the same, it is now set in the Múltipla Escolha High School.
