MTV's acclaimed music series showcases today's top artists and rising stars in the industry performing acoustic versions of their songs.

Aired on July of 1997, this installment in MTV's "Unplugged" series sees the legendary Fiona Apple performing a live acoustic show. The performance includes the songs "Shadowboxer", "Sleep to Dream", and "Criminal" off her debut album "Tidal", and a cover of "Angel" by Jimi Hendrix.

On January 23, 1997, Tori Amos gave a sell-out benefit concert at the Felt Forum in New York City to launch "Unlock the Silence", a year-long promotional and fund-raising campaign sponsored by cK Calvin Klein to raise awareness of the extraordinary work undertaken by RAINN, the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network, a non-profit organization who offer support and counseling to survivors of sexual assault. Tori performs compositions from her three albums, including "Silent All These Years", which appeared on her 1992 debut album "Little Earthquakes" and is the touchstone track for the "Unlock the Silence" campaign.

Still Hungry serves as a follow-up of sorts to Pinette’s previous Comedy Central special, 2007’s I’m Starvin’!

Recorded at Bray Studios, England before a small audience for the MTV Unplugged series, Eric Clapton performed a live acoustic set which included his successful 1991 single “Tears in Heaven” and an acoustic version of “Layla”. The accompanying album became the most successful live album ever released.

MTV Unplugged is a 2000 Grammy Award-winning live MTV Unplugged acoustic performance by Colombian born musician Shakira broadcasted in 1999, released in 2000 as an album and in 2002 as a DVD. It is rated as one of her best-ever live performances and paved the way for her successful English cross-over recording Laundry Service (2001).

In August of 1996, Oasis, riding high from the overwhelming success of their first two albums Definitely Maybe and (What's the Story) Morning Glory?, were to perform on the hit MTV series Unplugged. However (as was often the case), problems arose within the band, namely between the most well known members of the group, Noel and Liam Gallagher. An argument began between the two brothers, ultimately ending with Liam bowing out of the concert. The idea of postponing, or cancelling the show outright, was discussed, but thankfully, Noel decided to go ahead and sing lead vocals. What some initially thought of as a potential disaster ended up as a brilliant performance from Oasis sans Liam, and for the first time, gave the entire world a good look at what Noel could do.

MTV Unplugged is the first live album by Canadian singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette, released by Maverick Records in the United States on November 9, 1999 (see 1999 in music). It comprises songs performed by Morissette on the television program MTV Unplugged. Twelve tracks were included on the album, but Morissette performed several others, including "Baba", "Thank U" (both from 1998's Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie) and "Your House" (the hidden track on 1995's Jagged Little Pill), during her Unplugged concert. These were later released as B-sides on the "King of Pain" single release. The first single, "That I Would Be Good", was moderately successful, and two other tracks, "King of Pain" (a cover of the song by The Police) and "You Learn" were released as singles outside North America. As of March 2012, the album has sold 673,000 copies in the U.S.

“Holiday Homecoming with Jewel” features Homer’s famous musical star, Jewel Kilcher, her aunt Mossy Kilcher, and some of the stars of the Discovery Channel reality TV show, “Alaska: The Last Frontier” — Jewel’s dad Atz Kilcher, Bonnie Dupree, Eve and Eivin Kilcher, and Nikos Kilcher.

The recording was not made exactly under the MTV Unplugged standards because the band was 'Plugged', but includes a great Andrea Echeverri's performance in the track «En la Ciudad de la Furia» and also they used samplers in 2 tracks: 'Cementerio Club' from Luis Alberto Spinetta used on «Té para Tres» and 'Chrome Waves' from the English band Ride used on «Un Misil en mi Placard»

One of the “100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All Time,” Jim Breuer joined NBC’s Saturday Night Live in 1995. Since then he went on to star in several movies, tour the country with his Heavy Metal Man and Family Man comedy tours. You may remember Jim as the infamous Goat-Boy from SNL, or his stoner persona from the cult hit Half Baked. Now he’s clearing the air with this concert event.

Recorded during their 2008 World Tour at The House Of Blues/Atlantic City on July 17, 2008 this live show is wall to wall hits featuring the Motown classics The Track Of My Tears, Just My Imagination (Running Away From Me), Mercy Mercy Me, War, It s The Same Old Song, and more...in addition to the Boyz II Men hits I ll Make Love To You, Motownphilly, End Of The Road, (featuring a guest appearance from Brian McKnight).

This special aims to commemorate and celebrate Clapton's groundbreaking unplugged performance, offering fans both a theatrical experience and a streaming option to revisit this historic musical event.
