Life Goes On was the first television series to have a major character with Down syndrome.

Mancuso, F.B.I. is a crime drama which was aired by NBC as part of its 1989-90 schedule. Mancuso, F.B.I. stars veteran actor Robert Loggia as Nick Mancuso, a hardened veteran of the Bureau now assigned to Washington, D.C., where he was largely regarded by his superiors and bureaucratic types as a maverick with little regard for agency rules and procedures. This charge was largely true; Mancuso's true motivation was, as a press release for the show near the time of its premiere described it, "a passionate love affair with the United States Constitution" and an overwhelming desire to see genuine justice rather than the mere appearance of it.

Veritas: The Quest is a television program that aired in 2003. Aaron's Way is a 1988 American family drama series that aired on NBC. The series stars Merlin Olsen as Aaron Miller, the husband and father of an Amish family that moves to California. The series follows the attempts of family members to adapt to California culture while retaining their personal values. Also appearing on the series were Samantha Mathis and Belinda Montgomery.

In 1957 a fiery object crashes into a mountaintop in the California desert, bringing the threat of disaster to Earth. A benevolent alien from the spaceship, Urp, inhabits the body of Ted Lewis, an astronomer and with the help of Tammy, a diner waitress, sets out to save mankind.

The manager of a chemical plant and a city manager rise up against their respective bosses to keep a town safe in this ecologically conscientious made-for-TV disaster film. It all begins when the owners of Citichem order the plant manager to enact dangerous cost cuts that compromise the safety of the plant. He protests, but it is to no avail and a worker dies. At the same time, the city manager tries to warn the people that a deadly disaster is imminent, but he ends up gagged by the local politicians. Meanwhile, just when the community is at its most unprepared, a melt-down occurs and the town is drenched in deadly chemicals.
