Supersterre is an Afrikaans language singing talent show created by South African singer Patricia Lewis and produced by Lewis and her husband Mark Whitfield in which contestants work with a celebrity coach each week and are eliminated by public vote until one winner remains.

Snaaks Genoeg (Funny Enough) is an entertaining and poignant dark comedy, which explores the pain inflicted by humour on the average human being. The film, an original piece written and directed by David Moore, follows a down-and-out comedian (Casper de Vries) who drifts from one small town to another. Having alienated his audience with his crude comments and dirty humours, his popularity has faded. He hits the road fighting not only for survival, but also to find the spark he once had. He has been reduced to doing shows in small towns and working for food and accommodation. As he drifts from remote location to remote location, successful comedians are being kidnapped, tortured and murdered in bizarre ways, and he seems to be riding right into the centre of this storm.

Kwagga Robertse owns a farm shop in the fictional Southern African country of Nambabwe and usually cons foreign tourists by pretending to kill a lion, thus earning him the nickname 'Urumbo' (Lion Killer) from the country's natives. Kwagga is upset when the UN sends a platoon of incompetent soldiers with the United Nations Transition Assistance Group (U.N.T.A.G.), to monitor the peace process, and ensure free and fair elections after the Nambabwean War for Independence. The U.N.T.A.G's American leader, Major Bradick D. Mackay and his second-in-command, Captain Zapman are offered a diamond worth a lot of money in the U.S., and they must pay 200,000 USD to Duan Robertse, Kwagga's competitive brother trying to buy a farm left to them by their dead father.

Nothing for Mahala is a comedic film that follows Ace (Thapelo Mokoena) into his deep and unpleasant hole of debt and financial woes. Ace who likes to play the part of the high flier is forced to get money from illegal loan sharks, which eventually lands him into some legal trouble. The result is Ace doing community service at an old age home, where much is learnt about finances, life and what really holds value.

Today, Niek and Joe work for TJ Mokoena, but when Joe discovers the ugly underbelly of Mokoena's business, things start going horribly wrong for the down-and-out divorcee. Recorded in 2004 at Ceasers Gauteng (now Emperor’s Palace) Snaaks Genoeg was part of Casper de Vries's tour of South Africa’s major cities, with additional trips to Namibia and England. It was the first Afrikaans show staged at the famous London Palladium on the West End, and every ticket – including standing room – was sold out in advance. The first part of Snaaks Genoegfeatures many other popular Casper characters, including the oversexed Oom Kallie Marie and retired hooker Patience April. The show is a stand-up routine in which he pokes fun at Charlize, reality TV and casinos, and highlights the differences between South Africans and Americans.
