The tiny village in the far north of Sweden called Ensamheten (Solitude) has sixteen inhabitants. They all share an unusual passion - armwrestling.
Niklas works as at a chipboard factory in a small town. As a lonely bachelor, he longs for love and someone to share his future with. But there is a shortage of girls, which causes his mother to get involved with her inactive son.
An elderly man is walking through the rooms of the house which he has worked in and looked after since the days of his youth. He has reached a point in life where he is the remainder of the world he belonged to and loved. He realizes that it´s time to go and makes up his mind.
