Melodifestivalen (direct translation: The Melody Festival) is an annual music competition organised by Swedish public broadcaster Sveriges Television (SVT). The competition is a six part tour (5 heats + the final) with stops in cities across Sweden to determine the country's representative for the Eurovision Song Contest. Melodifestivalen is also known informally as "Mello", or internationally as "Melfest".

Author and tennis legend Björn Hellberg was promoted from contestant to permanent Oldsberg sidekick in 1995 after winning for four straight seasons. Famous gourmet, restaurant-owner, and former contestant Carl-Jan Grankvist sat in for Hellberg during the 2004 season. In 2009, after 21 years, Oldsberg left and Kristian Luuk took over as the host. Björn Hellberg too decided to leave and was replaced with Fredrik Lindström.

Doobidoo is a Swedish musical game show first aired in 2005 on the public service network SVT. There is also a Polish, TVP2, version called Dubidu - show host Piotr Gasowski - and an Australian version that goes by You may be right, hosted by Todd McKenney The Swedish version of the show is hosted by entertainment personality Lasse Kronér.

Robins is a Swedish late-night talk show which premiered on SVT2 on August 23, 2006. The host is the young stand-up comedian Robin Paulsson from Malmö. The show's format is similar to that of other late-night shows, Robin makes jokes about recent news, shows sketches, and talks to a guest in the studio. One of the most popular sketches in the show features Robin appearing as Swedish football player Zlatan Ibrahimović.

Playa del Sol is a Swedish comedy, directed by Peter Settman and Leif Lindblom and Jon Holmberg and Kicki Kjellin, which were broadcast on Sundays at 20.00 on SVT 1. The series consists of two seasons, with a total of 25 half-hour episodes. Season 1 aired from 21 January 2007 to 15 April 2007 while season 2 aired from 27 September 2009 to 20 December 2009. Snacka om nyheter was the Swedish version of the BBC series Have I Got News for You, broadcast by Sveriges Television. It was first broadcast on March 5, 1995 on TV2 and hosted by Stellan Sundahl. On February 22, 1999, Stellan Sundahl died, days after taping an episode that was shown the day before he died. The show was put on hiatus and the three remaining episodes were replaced by commemorative programmes. The show returned in November 2000 and was hosted by Sven Melander who would continue hosting it until the show's cancellation. The last programme was broadcast on December 21, 2003. Snacka om nyheter took many rounds from the British original, including the "Film Round", "Tabloid Headlines", "Odd One Out", "Missing Words" and "Caption Competition". Other elements borrowed from Have I Got News for You were the opening that included the phrase "Good evening and welcome to Snacka om nyheter" followed by a punch-line and the three "news reports" in the beginning as well as the humorous delivery of the scores. In 2008 the show began airing again, this time on Kanal 9, hosted by Kajsa Ingmarsson and produced by Jarowskij.

After getting terrible reviews on his new movie "Veni, Vidi, Vici", Karsten Daugaard is forced out of the movie business. His old friend, Vincent, comes to the rescue when he offers him a job of directing porn.

When the inexperienced football coach Selma Nord takes over Vinninge BK, the team is in last place in division 7 Södra Skåne (South Skåne). In 1981, after the successful test of a submarine tracker device developed by the Swedish scientist Paul Mandell and sponsored by the US government through his representative Miller, his industry is totally burned and the laser device is stolen. Stig Larsson from the Swedish Secret Agency suspects of an inside job and brings the Swedish Marine Thomas Kallin to investigate Paul undercover as his driver. The naive Kallin is double-crossed but continues his investigation while Larsson finds the truth about the heist.
