The next generation of UFC stars are produced in an intense elimination tournament that separates the contenders from the pretenders.

The Ultimate Fighter: Team Couture vs. Team Liddell Finale (also known as The Ultimate Fighter 1 Finale) was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) on April 9, 2005. Featured were the finals from The Ultimate Fighter 1 in both the middleweight and light heavyweight divisions. Even though the main attraction of the event was Rich Franklin vs. the UFC Hall of Famer Ken Shamrock, the spotlight was stolen by the light heavyweight finale between Forrest Griffin and Stephan Bonnar. Hailed as one of the greatest fights in MMA history by many, Forrest and Stephan produced a 3-round stand-up war that went the distance.

UFC 74: Respect was a mixed martial arts (MMA) event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The event took place on August 25, 2007 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main event was a UFC heavyweight championship bout which featured UFC heavyweight champion Randy Couture defending his title against Gabriel Gonzaga.

UFC Fight Night 4: Bonnar vs Jardine was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on April 6, 2006. The event took place at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada and was broadcast live on Spike TV in the United States and Canada.

UFC Fight Night 1: Marquardt vs. Salaverry was an event held on August 6, 2005 at the Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event, aired on Spike, was the first UFC Fight Night event.

UFC 135: Jones vs. Rampage was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on September 24, 2011 at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado.

UFC 86: Jackson vs. Griffin was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) on July 5, 2008, at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The title bout between Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Forrest Griffin, coaches on The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rampage vs. Team Forrest, was for Jackson's UFC Light Heavyweight Championship.

UFC 167: St-Pierre vs. Hendricks is a mixed martial arts event held on November 16, 2013, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S. The event will commemorate the organization's 20th anniversary. The main event is a UFC Welterweight Championship bout between the current champion Georges St-Pierre and #1 contender Johny Hendricks. Co-featured on the card is a light-heavyweight bout between former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans and Chael Sonnen.

The UFC made history on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Undefeated superstar "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey defends her UFC bantamweight title against Marine Corps veteran Liz Carmouche in the first women's fight ever in the UFC Octagon. UFC 157 also featured the showdown between all time great Dan Henderson and former light heavyweight champion Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida. Plus, see the return of "The California Kid" Urijah Faber in his rematch against Ivan Menjivar.

UFC 69: Shootout was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on Saturday, April 7, 2007 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The card was headlined by heavy favourite Georges St. Pierre defending his welterweight title against The Ultimate Fighter 4 welterweight winner Matt Serra.

UFC 106: Ortiz vs. Griffin 2 was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) on November 21, 2009 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.

UFC: Fight for the Troops, also referred to as UFC Fight Night 16, was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) on December 10, 2008 at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The event helped raise money for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, which provides support for severely wounded military personnel and veterans and the families of military personnel lost in service. The event reportedly raised $4 million during its three-hour broadcast. The event was officially announced on September 17, 2008 during UFC Fight Night: Diaz vs. Neer. Brian Stann and Frank Edgar were originally slated to appear on the card, but injuries forced both fighters to withdraw. Razak Al-Hassan replaced Stann, and Jim Miller came in with only three weeks notice as a late replacement for Edgar. The referees assigned for the event were Dan Miragliotta, Donnie Jessup, Al Coley and Mario Yamasaki.

UFC 90: Silva vs. Côté was a mixed martial arts (MMA) pay-per-view event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) on October 25, 2008, at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. The main event featured UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva vs. number #1 contender Patrick Côté.

UFC 82: Pride of a Champion was a mixed martial arts (MMA) event that took place on 1st March, 2008 at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. The main event was a UFC & Pride FC middleweight title unification match between UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and PRIDE FC welterweight champion Dan Henderson.

UFC 95: Sanchez vs. Stevenson was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) on February 21, 2009, at The O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom. The main event was a lightweight match-up between Diego Sanchez vs. Joe Stevenson.

UFC Fight Night 7: Sanchez vs. Riggs was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on December 13, 2006 at the MCAS Miramar near San Diego, California. The audience almost entirely comprised of US Marines. Diego Sanchez continues his run up the welterweight ranks.

UFC on Fox 3: Diaz vs. Miller was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on May 5, 2012 at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

UFC Fight Night 2: Loiseau vs. Tanner was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on October 3, 2005. The event took place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, and was broadcast live on Spike TV in the United States and Canada.

UFC Fight Night 62: Maia vs. LaFlare was a mixed martial arts event held on March 21, 2015 at the Ginásio do Maracanãzinho in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This event was headlined by a welterweight bout between Demian Maia and Ryan LaFlare.

UFC 113: Machida vs. Shogun 2 was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on May 8, 2010 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. UFC 113 featured the rematch between Lyoto Machida and Maurício Rua for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship. The two first met at UFC 104, where Lyoto Machida retained his belt in a controversial unanimous decision victory.
