UFC 210: Cormier vs. Johnson 2 was a mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship held on April 8, 2017, at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York. UFC Fight Night 84: Silva vs. Bisping was a mixed martial arts event held on 27 February 2016 at The O2 Arena in London, England. Michael Bisping was originally expected to face Gegard Mousasi at this event in a non-headliner middleweight bout. However, Mousasi was replaced by former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva in favor of a main event. Three days later, it was announced that Mousasi would face former title challenger Thales Leites.

Pride Bushido 11, also promoted as Pride Bushido Survival in North America, was a mixed martial arts event held by the Pride Fighting Championships. It took place at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan on June 4, 2006.

DREAM.15 took place on July 10, 2010, at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, promoted by Fighting and Entertainment Group’s DREAM. The main event features Shinya Aoki defending his Lightweight Championship against Tatsuya Kawajiri, with Aoki coming off a submission win over Mizuto Hirota at Dynamite!! 2009 and Kawajiri riding a TKO victory over Kazunori Yokota. UFC 204: Bisping vs. Henderson 2 was a mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship held on October 8, 2016 at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England. The event was headlined by a UFC Middleweight Championship bout between current champion Michael Bisping and the former Pride Welterweight, Pride Middleweight and former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion Dan Henderson. The pairing met previously in July 2009 at UFC 100 with Henderson taking the victory via second round highlight reel knockout.

Strikeforce: Carano vs. Cyborg was a mixed martial arts event held by Strikeforce. It was held in San Jose, California on August 15, 2009. The event aired live on the Showtime cable network and marked the first time two women headlined an MMA event in history.

UFC Fight Night 41: Munoz vs. Mousasi was a mixed martial arts event held on May 31, 2014, at O2 World in Berlin, Germany. The card was headlined by a middleweight bout between Gegard Mousasi and Mark Muñoz. This event was the first of two that took place on May 31, 2014, with The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3 Finale: Miocic vs. Maldonado being the other making it only the second time in UFC history that they have hosted two events in one day.

UFC Fight Night 99: Mousasi vs. Hall 2 (also known as UFC Fight Night 99) was a mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship that was held on 19 November 2016 at The SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland. A middleweight rematch between former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion Gegard Mousasi and Uriah Hall was announced as the headliner.

UFC on Fuel TV 9: Mousasi vs. Latifi was a mixed martial arts event held on April 6, 2013, at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.

The event saw Bellator welterweight champion Rory MacDonald move up to the middleweight division to challenge Bellator middleweight champion Gegard Mousasi for the Bellator middleweight title. MacDonald was attempting to become the second multi-division champion in Bellator history, after former Bellator bantamweight and featherweight champion Joe Warren. In addition, former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson met rival and former PRIDE FC middleweight champion Wanderlei Silva for the fourth time in their respective careers. Going into this fight, Silva held a 2-1 advantage in the series.

Strikeforce: Marquardt vs. Saffiedine was a mixed martial arts event held by Strikeforce. The event took place on January 12, 2013 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This was the final event for Strikeforce before the organization is folded and merged with the UFC.
