A documentary about the daily life of a woman with Alzheimer's disease in a nursing home in Duisburg. Without realizing it herself, the woman is gradually losing her memory; she doesn't know where she is and finds her surroundings puzzling and, at times, threatening. She speaks candidly to the camera about her thoughts and fears.
For three years, filmmaker Marion Kainz followed Johanna, a 13-year-old girl from Berlin, and captured her longing for security and freedom in a documentary about her journey toward an independent life.
