Chronicle of the daily activity of a newspaper called La Jornada. Through the events covered by the gossip columnist that occupy precisely the seventh page, a portrait emerges of different classes of Spain in the 50's and a vision of reality where facts are mixed comedy, police, emotional, dramatic and even tragic.

About to turn thirty years old, Román has decided to change his life, buy a boat and sail forever with or without his girlfriend. He has a plan to make a lot of money, as it happened a few years ago without any success. But things will change soon when the reunion with his old friend Martín shakes his plans.

Carmen Torres, a famous and renowned singer, lives the fame aware of what it implies, but Jorge Olmedo, her shadow partner, succumbs to a world in which drugs and poker games reign. Husband and wife travel to Seville to see the premiere of "Yo soy ésa", a film in which both see their lives captured long ago, a dose of reality that will help them realize that they no longer love each other the same.

The film is divided into three parts: 'Restlessness', 'Violence' and 'Death', to explain the motivations, evolution and defeat of three young misfits from Barcelona who end up being robbers. The way of crime is an easy way for them: a boy and a worker without a job or benefit are induced by 'el Señorito', the son of a rich lawyer. Together they form a band. Hard and violent, the film is made with a clear intention of social criticism and research of realism, culminating in a final scene that raised quite controversial.

Angela Russo, a sixteen-year-old girl, is found dead in a river, having been fatally violated with a large blunt instrument. Inspector Di Salvo is assigned to the case and focuses his investigations on St. Theresa's, the exclusive school where Angela boarded. Three of the murdered girl's classmates, Franca, Paola and Virginia (who call themselves "The Inseparables"), receive threatening poems from an individual using the name "Nemesis." Bizarre "accidents" start to befall the girls: Franca is injured when someone causes her horse to bolt and Virginia nearly breaks her neck on marbles left at the top of a staircase. But Di Salvo is determined to find the killer, even if it means using unorthodox methods. He is aided by Angela Russo's little sister Emily, whose helpful clues lead to a boutique owned by a dubious character and a vice ring where "rich influential men pay well for teenage favours..."

The bullfight is about to begin. On the bill are announced the toreros Ricardo Puente, Juan Carmona and Rondeño II, who will take the alternative. Puente is an old bullfighter, famous in earlier times, who, now bitter and full of resentment, lives with Paloma, a woman who is not resigned to continue being the lover of a man who has fallen into oblivion. Carmona, the fashionable bullfighter, has an important contract to fight in America, but his wife Isabel wants him to reject the offer. Anamaría, Carmona's sister, hopes that her brother will approve her relationship with Rondeño II; but Carmona opposes because he considers him a bad bullfighter. In a fourth, hopeful and exciting plot, a young amateur bullfighter has a plan to sneak into the ring and fight a bull, hoping for public acclaim for his feat of bravery.
