An estranged couple accidentally meet in a railway station's waiting room and revisit their past.

A man mistakenly invites a family, whose girl was (and is still) betrothed to the groom. It was he who set up the cousin's alliance, would the girl forgive him, whom he had fallen in love? How to prevent her from attending the marriage?

Swarupa, an introvert, fails to express her love to Kushal, who falls for Nabola, a rich and beautiful woman. However, things take a sharp turn when greedy Nabola leaves him for a wealthier man.

She confesses her feelings to Himangshu however he declines her love as he had a similar love failure in the past and did not want a broken heart again. He decides to leave the place and go away. Juthika breaks her engagement, leaves her family behind and chooses to come along with Himangshu, proving all his apprehensions wrong.

An orphan adopted by an upper caste family never learns of her untouchable caste background. This proves problematic when years later, she falls in love with an upper caste man.

Thagini (The Lady Thug) is a Bengali suspense drama film directed by Tarun Majumdar based on a short story of Subodh Ghosh. This film was released on 13 December 1974 in the banner of Chaya O Chabi Production. Music of the film was scored by Hemanta Mukherjee.

Madhuri cannot bear a child yet her husband Shatadal is fond of children. They decide to part ways but years later when they meet in a railway station they realize their fondness for each other hasn't died.
