Ultra Q: Dark Fantasy is a 2004 production, and the 19th installment in the Ultra Series that was broadcast in Japan in 2004. It is a sequel to Ultra Q, the first of the Ultra Series. It retains the same swirling effect for the titlecard, but with the words "Dark Fantasy" added underneath, the title also remains black and white.
Tatsuya, a former gang leader, seeks a fresh start after juvenile detention but quickly finds himself entangled in a gang rivalry. Amidst the chaos, he forms unexpected bonds with Kaname, a rival gang member, and Chihiro, the sister of a late gang leader, as they navigate the dangerous gang world together.
45 years ago, a man was subjected to the experiments of the secret organization Shocker and became a cyborg. After a long battle overseas, Hongo hears a certain girl is in danger and immediately returns to Japan.
