JoaquĂn and his sister Cristina live each day in a monotonous routine, trapped in a home ruled by neglect and indifference. Their mother, distant and emotionally absent, seems to care only for Cristina, who lies sick in bed, barely acknowledged by the world around her. Tired of being abandoned and overlooked, JoaquĂn finally takes matters into his own hands. As the fragile balance of their family begins to collapse, he takes control of the situation—and finds a way to break free.
In a bunker lost in the middle of a desolate field, two girls spend their days isolated from the world. Their only company is an old television and a collection of VHS tapes that they have turned into their own peculiar way of surviving. Surrounded by films of war, violence, and death, they have built a routine that is as strange as it is seemingly normal. But as the tapes begin to run out, small cracks begin to appear in their relationship and in the reality that surrounds them. *Kinofagia* is a story about people, isolation, and the human need to find something on the other side of a screen.
