People in a village believe that when an outsider comes to their village, one of the residents dies. When a female family planning counsellor comes to their village, they try to get rid of her.
Jayalakshmi, a rape victim, gets a recommendation letter from a pastor and goes to Sunderajan's house for work. Unfortunately, she misplaces the letter and it is found by another woman.
