The film tells the story of the perseverance and steadfastness of Yoke Lin, a teenage girl waiting for her SPM examination results and aspiring to pursue her studies at university. While waiting for the results, Yoke Lin fills her free time by participating in the staging of a drama entitled 'Keris Pusaka' aimed at collecting donations to build a hostel for orphaned children of various races in her area. Yoke Lin's involvement in acting in the Malay drama, taking on the role of Anum, faces opposition from her father but receives support from Mr. Phang (who is open-minded), Sakinah, Aida, Mona and others. Yoke Lin, as a member of Malaysia's new generation, strives to make the drama production a success in order to strengthen unity among the multiracial residents of her village. Eventually, after overcoming various obstacles, her mother gives her encouragement, followed by a change in her father's attitude who now supports her theatrical arts activities.
