Set in the Al Jahmalyah neighborhood during the early nineties of the last century; the events revolve around the conflicts over land and inherited real estate, as well as the struggle of love and hate through the story of the market saleswoman, Bent Sabr.
"Republic of Corona" is a Yemeni comedic drama series concept designed to capture the social dynamics, panic, and everyday absurdities experienced during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Rendered in a vibrant, expressive, comic-book illustration style, the show brings together a diverse cast of traditional Yemeni characters dealing with the strict health mandates of the pandemic in a lighthearted, humorous frame.
It is about Bedouins' life in the desert in Hadhramaut in the late nineteenth century, where there were tribal conflicts and disputes between the tribe of Al Muqaddam (Saloum), the tribe of Al Muqaddam (Mahmoud), the tribe of Sheikh (Manea), and other tribes.
Taking place in a Yemeni village, the story follows Jamila, a self-made girl who relies on herself, but she faces numerous harassment and crises.
