"Republic of Corona" is a Yemeni comedic drama series concept designed to capture the social dynamics, panic, and everyday absurdities experienced during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Rendered in a vibrant, expressive, comic-book illustration style, the show brings together a diverse cast of traditional Yemeni characters dealing with the strict health mandates of the pandemic in a lighthearted, humorous frame.

Set in Al Aliya, a rural village in Yemen; the plot reviews social relations, power struggles, and love relationships that are subject to strict customs and traditions and conflicting interests that threaten their continuity.

The story revolves around a mistake that gets three people of different nationalities into trouble, as they begin a journey to search for a way out.
