Led by a bewitching therapist Lily, Woody encounters a group of eccentric people, for example, a football enthusiast who lost his legs, and of course, Michael, a single dad who raised his daughter only to lose her in a car accident. Woody finds it confusing whether to take a role as an outsider or to seek for relief like everyone else. The film constantly makes use of Brechtian effect to explore the interior of each character.
