Emelyan Savka

The film takes place in Moscow in 1925, during the New Economic Policy (NEP). The three main characters - Misha, Genka, and Slava - have grown up and become Komsomol members. A murder occurs in their courtyard: engineer Zimin is shot dead at night. The prime suspect turns out to be a local hooligan. But Misha refuses to believe him completely and tries to find evidence on his own.

The love story of the NKVD lieutenant and the connected UPA (Ukrainian Insurgent Army) on the eve of the end of World War II is a conflict of love and duty. There is a third hero in this story - this is an indifferent employee of the NKVD. For many years, he completely voluntarily helps the OUN-UPA, and waits for who will eventually become the winner, to whom, in the end, he will devote the rest of his life ...

XIX century. The village of Dymka in Bukovina. The wealthy peasant Ivonic and his wife Maria have two sons - Mykhailo and Sava. Mykhailo has fallen in love with Anna, and is afraid to confess to his parents because it is not known how they will react. Sava fell in love with Rahira, who has a bad reputation in the village. She incites Sava's hatred towards his older brother Mykhailo, because he should get a better land.

World War II scattered the Carpathian peasant family of Yaroslava Petrin. She is a dedicated communist, and her husband, son and daughter support OUN-UPA.
