Jonas Serpa Souza (they) is a Brazilian filmmaker based in Chicago, IL. As a homosexual immigrant with a fascination for sexual and gender deviance, Jonas makes films that extrapolate the absurdity of our institutions - politics, religion, family - through sexuality. They are a current MFA graduate student in Film Directing at DePaul University, where they have previously received a BFA in Film and Television with a concentration in Directing.
