Biography
Vitor Evangelista is from Tangará da Serra (MT), a non-binary person who started producing guerrilla films at age 18. Currently a Cinema and Audiovisual student at UFMT, he has an affinity for directing, screenwriting and makeup, and is the founder of the independent university production company “Mangueira Filmes”.
Known For
Made up of amateur footage recorded by young LGBT people during a trip to an event significant to the queer community, Queerjoy is a documentary that captures these same youths reflecting on what it means to belong to this community, to seek spaces of free expression, and to live in a society that still carries many prejudices about the way they live.
