Biography
A commercial director for 15 years, Thibault Mombellet writes and directs around ten award-winning short films, some of which have been broadcast on television (OCS, Canal+, etc.). His latest film, L’Anniversaire (The Birthday), was a finalist at the Nikon Film Festival in 2024, and will also compete at the Liège Comedy Film Festival and the Très Courts International Film Festival in 2025. He continues to be a regular on the festival circuit, with nearly a hundred selections and several awards. On the development side, he was a recipient of the SACD-FRANCE TV web series grant in 2018 (followed by a writing agreement with France TV Slash). He has since received the CNC's Audiovisual Innovation Fund three times for various series projects (concept, writing, and rewriting). He regularly participates in writing residencies: the Emerging Series Workshop (Consultants: Nicolas Peufaillit & Charlotte Samson), Valence Scénario (Eli Abecera & Antoine Cupial), Groupe Ouest (Power and Soul feature film) (Magalie Negroni & Christophe Lemoine), pre-writing workshops for series with Arte (Mehdi Ouhab & Christophe Lemoine), Sofilm – Genre Series (Judith Godinot & Thibault Valletout), The Aesthetics of Reception (Vincent Robert), and the La Rochelle TV Fiction Festival residency (Olivier Ciechelski). He is currently working on the creation of an 8x30-minute comedy series and a romantic comedy with the production company Son et Lumière (Spiral), and a comedy with the company Qui Vive!

During a theatrical play of 'Cyrano de Bergerac', the main character falls down and passes out. No issue to save the show! By love for Roxane, a young stage manager decides to take the place of Cyrano on stage, despite the opposition of one of the main characters of the play, Christian. The show must go on!
