Biography
Merited Artist Trần Đức (5 May 1937 - 1 April 2014) was a Vietnamese broadcaster, composer and former geologist. A senior manager at Vietnam Television, he wrote and produced its first educational show for children "Những bông hoa nhỏ". He was renowned for a series of children's songs (notably "Khi tóc thầy bạc trắng" and "Mơ ước ngày mai") written during his time as a journalist for Voice of Vietnam and also for his distinctive narration in critically acclaimed documentaries.
Known For
A documentary film promoting the life and career of Ho Chi Minh on the 100th anniversary of his birth (1890-1990) through a series of interviews with his contemporaries including Phạm Văn Đồng, Võ Nguyên Giáp and Nguyễn Văn Linh. One of the highly acclaimed films about Ho Chi Minh, this is often broadcast by Vietnam Television on the occasion of his birthday (May 19) or death anniversary (September 2).
