Biography
Born in Lisbon, in 1986, António Pinhão Botelho is a Portuguese actor and director. Graduating from Lisbon’s Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema in 2008. Pinhão Botelho released the short-film O Rio in 2014. By 2018 the director presented his first feature, Ruth, detailing an important moment in Eusébio da Silva Ferreira’s life – one of the most important portuguese soccer players. He was also assistant director of Le Cahier Noir (Valéria Sarmiento, 2018) and The Domain (Tiago Guedes, 2019).
Known For

Dreaming of great adventures and of standing up for his homeland, a young Portuguese man enlists in the army during World War I and is sent to the front line in Mozambique, Africa.
